A service quota is the maximum number of cloud resources or operations that an Alibaba Cloud account can use. This topic describes the names, default values, and adjustability of PrivateLink quotas. It also describes the limits on IP versions, protocols, and backend service resource types for PrivateLink.
Service quotas
Alibaba Cloud service quotas apply at the account or region level and are divided into the following three types:
General quotas: The maximum number of cloud resources that an Alibaba Cloud account can use.
API rate limits: The frequency at which an Alibaba Cloud account can call the APIs of an Alibaba Cloud service. This is also known as a queries per second (QPS) limit.
Privilege quotas: The permissions granted to an Alibaba Cloud account, such as the permission to use specific features.
PrivateLink provides general quotas, API rate limits, and privilege quotas, some of which can be adjusted. You can log on to the Alibaba Cloud Quota Center console or the VPC console to view quotas or request a quota increase.
General quotas
The following table lists the general quotas for PrivateLink.
The default quota values in this topic are for reference only. For the actual default quota values, refer to the console.
Endpoint service quotas
Quota name | Resource | Default quota | Can I request a quota increase? |
pvl_quota_epsrv_resource_per_service | Number of service resources that can be added to a single endpoint service | 500
pvl_quota_epsrv_resource_per_zone_per_srv | Number of service resources for a single endpoint service in each zone | 100
pvl_quota_total_epsrv | Number of endpoint services that can be created by a single account | 200 |
Endpoint quotas
Quota name | Resource | Default quota | Can I request a quota increase? |
pvl_quota_total_ep_per_vpc | Number of endpoints that can be created in a single virtual private cloud (VPC). This is the sum of the number of interface endpoints, reverse endpoints, and Gateway Load Balancer endpoints. | 1,000 |
API rate limits
For more information about API rate limits, see Throttling.
Privilege quotas
The default value of a privilege quota for PrivateLink is 0. This means the feature is unavailable until you are granted the required permissions by Alibaba Cloud.
Quota name | Description | Can I request a quota increase? |
Grayscale testing for service resource scheduling | Endpoint services support replacing service resources |
Endpoint service limits
Resource | Limit |
Backend service resource types
Supported IP versions for endpoint services |
Dual-stack is supported only when the service resource is an NLB instance. |
Supported transport layer protocols for endpoint services |

Endpoint limits
Resource | Limit |
IP versions supported by interface endpoints |
If an endpoint service supports dual-stack, the corresponding interface endpoint also supports dual-stack. |
