FAQ

Q: If I create a single-zone instance, can I upgrade it to a three-zone deployment for disaster recovery without service interruption?

A: Yes. You can upgrade a single-zone instance to a three-zone deployment online. For details, see Change from a single-zone to a three-zone deployment.

In the Actions column of the instance list, click Migrate availability zone. In the dialog box that appears, set Deployment method to Three-zone. Specify the Primary node AZ, Secondary node AZ, and Logger node AZ. Select the VPC and VSwitch, set Switchover mode to Switch Immediately or Switch Within Maintenance Window, and click OK.
