PolarDB:Specifications of Standard Edition compute nodes

PolarDB for PostgreSQL Standard Edition offers two compute node categories — General-purpose and Dedicated — across x86 and Yitian ARM architectures.

Choose a node category

Category How resources are allocated
General-purpose CPU and other computing resources are shared among clusters on the same physical server
Dedicated CPU and other computing resources are exclusively allocated to your cluster

Node specifications

The following tables list the specifications for each node type. The Maximum IOPS column shows theoretical limits by Enterprise SSD (ESSD) performance level. All nodes support a maximum storage capacity of 64 TB.

IOPS is a theoretical limit, not a guaranteed value. Actual IOPS depends on the size of the purchased disks. All nodes in a cluster — primary and read-only — share the IOPS of the underlying ESSD. For example, a cluster with 8-core 32 GB nodes on ESSD PL1 storage, containing one primary node and three read-only nodes, has all four nodes sharing a total IOPS ceiling of 50,000.
