    PolarDB:Change the billing method of a cluster from pay-as-you-go to subscription

    Switching a PolarDB cluster to subscription changes only the billing rule. This operation does not affect the business operations on the cluster.

    Prerequisites

    Before you begin, make sure that:

    • The cluster is in the Running state

    • The cluster has no pending orders to switch the billing method to subscription. If pending orders exist, pay for or cancel them on the Orders page before proceeding

    • The cluster uses currently available specifications. If the cluster uses specifications that are no longer available, first — clusters on retired specifications cannot switch to subscription

    Billing scope

    When you change the billing method of a cluster from pay-as-you-go to subscription, the billing method for storage resources does not change.

    Switch to subscription

    1. Log in to the PolarDB console. In the left navigation pane, click Clusters. In the upper-left corner, select the cluster's region, then find the cluster in the list.

    2. In the Actions column, click More > Switch to Subscription.

    3. On the Switch to Subscription page, review the cluster information and set the Purchase Plan. Read the terms of service, then click Buy Now.

      Note

      • The new billing method takes effect after payment is complete.

      • If an order remains unpaid or payment fails, it appears as an unpaid order on the Orders page. New cluster purchases and billing method switches are blocked until the order is paid or canceled.
