The Cluster Recycle Bin holds released PolarDB clusters so you can restore them or manage their backup sets. This design prevents accidental data loss by requiring at least one backup set per cluster before restoration is possible. This topic describes how to delete backup sets of a released PolarDB for MySQL cluster.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
A released cluster in the Cluster Recycle Bin
Access to the PolarDB console
Delete a backup set
Each cluster in the Cluster Recycle Bin must retain at least one backup set. Deleting all backup sets removes the ability to restore that cluster. Proceed with caution.
After a cluster is released, all level-1 backups in the Cluster Recycle Bin are asynchronously archived to level-2 backups at approximately 150 MB/s. For more information, see Data backup.
Log on to the PolarDB console.
In the upper-left corner, select the region where the cluster is deployed.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Cluster Recycle.
Find the cluster, and click the
icon next to it to expand the list of backup sets.Find the backup set to delete, and click Delete Backup in the Actions column.
WarningIf this is the only remaining backup set for the cluster, deleting it will make the cluster unrestorable.
In the confirmation dialog, click OK.
