PolarDB:Enable the PolarDB for AI feature

Prerequisites

• A cluster is created. The Database Engine parameter is set to MySQL 8.0.1 or later. The Database Edition parameter is set to Enterprise Edition. The Edition parameter is set to Cluster Edition. For more information about how to create a cluster, see Purchase a pay-as-you-go cluster and Purchase a subscription cluster.

• A standard database account is created. For more information, see Create a standard account

• PolarDB PolarProxy is 2.7.5 or later. For more information about how to view and upgrade the PolarProxy version, see Minor version upgrades.

Enable the PolarDB for AI feature

1. Log on to the PolarDB console.

2. In the upper-left corner of the PolarDB console, select the region in which the cluster is deployed.

3. Access the Add/Remove Node wizard by using one of the following methods:

   • Access the Add/Remove Node wizard from the Clusters page.

     Find the cluster that you want to manage and click Add/Remove Node in the Actions column.

     

   • Access the Add/Remove Node wizard from the Basic Information page of the cluster.

     1. Find the cluster and click the cluster ID to go to the Basic Information page.

     2. In the Database Nodes section, click Add/Remove Node.

        

4. Select Add AI Node and click OK.

   

5. Click + Add AI Node, set Switching Time, select Terms of Service, and then click Buy Now.

   

6. On the Purchase page, confirm the order information and click Subscribe.

7. After the node is added, select the node and click Create Database Account.

   

8. In the Set Database Account for AI Node dialog box, select Database Account, enter Database Password, and then click OK.

   

Disable the PolarDB for AI feature

1. Log on to the PolarDB console.

2. In the upper-left corner of the console, select the region in which the cluster that you want to manage is deployed.

3. Access the Add/Remove Node wizard by using one of the following methods:

   • Access the Add/Remove Node wizard from the Clusters page.

     Find the cluster that you want to manage and click Add/Remove Node in the Actions column.

     

   • Access the Add/Remove Node wizard from the Basic Information page of the cluster.

     1. Find the cluster and click the cluster ID to go to the Basic Information page.

     2. In the Database Nodes section, click Add/Remove Node.

        

4. Select Delete AI Node and click OK.

   

5. Click the icon next to the name of the node to delete the node.

   

6. Set Switching Time, select Terms of Service, and then click Buy Now.
