Register your trained models on the Model Management page to centrally manage all models in Platform for AI (PAI). You can also update model versions when models change.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, complete the following steps:
Upload the model to OSS as described in Upload a file using the console.
Prepare an account
Alibaba Cloud account: You can perform all operations without requiring additional authorization.
RAM user: Add the user as a workspace member and assign a role to grant the required permissions. For more information, see Appendix: Roles and permissions.
Register a model
On the Model Management page, you can register a new model or update the version of an existing model.
Go to the Model Management page.
Log on to the PAI console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Workspace Management. On the page that appears, click the name of the workspace that you want to manage.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Model page, click Register Model.
In the Register Model panel, configure the parameters and click OK.
The following registration methods are available:
Create Model: Registers a new model.
Create Version: Creates a new version of an existing registered model.
The following table describes the key parameters:
Parameter

Model Name
Required only when you select Create Model.
Select Model
Required only when you select Create Version. Select a registered model.
Version Number
The version number of the model. You can modify this parameter only when you select Create Version.
Model Address
Configure the model path in one of the following ways:
Enter the OSS path where the model file is stored.
Click
to select the OSS path of the model file.In the Select OSS folder or file dialog box, you can select an existing file or upload a local file:
(Optional) To upload to a new folder, click Create folder to create a folder, and then double-click to open it.
Click Upload file.
Click Select local file or drag and drop files to upload your local model files.
Model Service Deployment
The following configuration methods are available:
Automatic Configurations: The system automatically generates the deployment configuration after you configure the Model Format.
Custom Configuration: Enter the deployment configuration directly. For more information, see Deployment configuration and one-click deployment.
Advanced Settings
Select Advanced Settings to configure the following parameters:
Version Approval Status: Set the approval status to Pending (default) or Approved.
Model Metrics: Configure model metrics to compare different model versions. For more information, see Model metrics.
Manage models
The Model Management page lists all models that you have permission to access. You can view details, delete models, and perform other operations.
Click View to go to the OSS storage path of the model and view its details. Click Delete to remove an obsolete model.
Set tags for your models to filter and find models by tag keys and values.
Click the settings icon in the upper-right corner to customize the displayed model information.
Hover over the area marked with ④ to view the model ID.
