This topic describes how to activate PAI ArtLab and grant permissions.
Activate the product
Log on to the PAI ArtLab console. Follow the on-screen instructions to click Authorize Now and then Activate.
Claim a free trial
In the upper-right corner of the platform, click Free Trial.
Claim a free trial for computing power.
Claim a free trial for storage and traffic.
In the Resource Center, verify that you have successfully claimed the free trial.
If you claimed the free trial but cannot see the corresponding resources in the Resource Center, refresh your browser.
Optional: Grant permissions to RAM users
In a typical business scenario, different departments and teams require access to various cloud resources. You can use your Alibaba Cloud account to assign specific permissions to Resource Access Management (RAM) users. This practice minimizes the security risks of performing daily operations with your Alibaba Cloud account and improves overall system security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Grant permissions to a single RAM user
The product must be activated and authorized using an Alibaba Cloud account.
Grant permissions to the RAM user:
AliyunPAIFullAccess: Permissions to manage PAI.
AliyunOSSFullAccess: Permissions to manage Object Storage Service (OSS).
(Optional) AliyunBSSFullAccess: Permissions to manage the User Center (BSS).
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Management Console as a RAM user.
Grant permissions to a RAM user group
The product must be activated and authorized using an Alibaba Cloud account.
Grant permissions to the RAM user group:
AliyunPAIFullAccess: Permissions to manage PAI.
AliyunOSSFullAccess: Permissions to manage OSS.
(Optional) AliyunBSSFullAccess: Permissions to manage the User Center (BSS).
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Management Console as a RAM user.
Grant partial permissions to a RAM user
If you want to grant a RAM user specific permissions instead of full access, see the access control documentation for the relevant product.
PAI: See RAM authentication logic. Then, search for 'Permissions' to find the required permissions.
OSS: See Access control. Then, search for 'Access Control' to find the required permissions.
Example: Grant a RAM user permissions to manage storage
PAI ArtLab stores data in a specified bucket. The following image shows how to find the bucket name.
To manage storage permissions for a RAM user, grant permissions for this bucket only.
