This topic describes how to create a PAI-Lingjun AI Computing Service (Lingjun) cluster.
Step 1: Create a node group
Log on to the Intelligent Computing Lingjun console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resources and Nodes > Cluster Management.
On the Cluster Management page, click Create Cluster.
On the Create Managed Cloud Cluster page, find the Basic Lingjun Cluster Service section and click Click to create a cluster.
In the Cluster Information area, enter the Cluster Name, Cluster ID and Resource group.
Click Create Group to create a node group.
In the Create Group dialog box, specify the group name and information about the nodes that belong to the group such as the node model and image based on your plan.
Click Select Node Instance next to Node Instance to select the nodes to be added to the group.
Click Save and go to the next step to go to the Network Configuration wizard.
Step 2: Configure the cluster network
Configure the parameters in the Cluster CIDR Block section.
Cluster CIDR Block: the CIDR block to be used by the Lingjun cluster to assign IP addresses to compute nodes. The CIDR block can be a private CIDR block.
Cluster Subnet: the subnet of the Lingjun Virtual Private Datacenter (VPD). For more information about a Lingjun VPD and its subnets, see Manage Lingjun VPDs.
NoteYou must plan the Lingjun VPD in advance. The CIDR blocks of the Lingjun VPD cannot conflict with those of other networks to which the Lingjun cluster is to be connected, such as CIDR blocks of virtual private clouds (VPCs) or data centers.
The number of available IP addresses in a Lingjun VPD determines the maximum number of nodes that can be deployed in the Lingjun cluster. You must prepare a CIDR block whose subnet mask length is greater than 22 bits to prevent the cluster from being unable to be scaled up.
Click Confirm Authorization to create a service-linked role named AliyunServiceRoleForEfloVcc. For more information, see Appendix: Service-linked roles for Lingjun connection instances.
Select the ID of the purchased Lingjun connection instance from the InstanceID drop-down list. Configure the CEN parameter.
ImportantYou are required to configure Lingjun Connection and Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) for some instance types (gu7ef, gu7xf and some gu8xf) in the Ulanqab region. This requirement does not apply to other regions or instance types.
You must create a transit router in the Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) instance. The region of the transit router must be the same as that of the Lingjun nodes. For more information, see Transit routers.
In the Network Information Monitoring section, configure a VPC and a vSwitch.
Configure a CEN instance. Create a new VPC or connect an existing VPC to the transit router created in the previous step. For more information, see the Activate and configure other Alibaba Cloud services section of the "Purchase and configure the required Alibaba Cloud services" topic. Make sure that the vSwitch in the VPC has at least one idle IP address. The Lingjun cluster uses this vSwitch to monitor the network connectivity of the Lingjun connection instance.
ImportantYou can select a VPC from the drop-down list only if you have connected the VPC to the selected transit router.
The CIDR block of a Lingjun cluster and that of the VPC that is used for monitoring network connectivity cannot conflict with each other, and the CIDR block of the VPC that is used for monitoring network connectivity cannot conflict with that of other networks to which the Lingjun cluster is to be connected, such as CIDR blocks of VPCs or data centers.
Click the
icons next to the VPC and Switch (vSwitch) drop-down lists, and select a VPC and a vSwitch.
Click Save and go to the next step. Basic Parameters of Software Instance.
Step 3: Confirm the cluster configurations
After you confirm the cluster configurations, click Submit Configuration in the lower-left corner to create the Lingjun cluster.
