New users who have completed real-name registration but have not activated Object Storage Service (OSS) are eligible for a one-month free trial. During this period, a fixed amount of Standard locally redundant storage (LRS) capacity is available at no charge.

Claim the free quota
Go to Free Tier Products and activate OSS.
Store up to 500 GB (individual) or 1 TB (enterprise) of Standard LRS objects per month during the trial period.
After the trial ends, any storage that exceeds the free quota is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Eligibility
To qualify for the free trial, make sure that you meet the following conditions:
An Alibaba Cloud account with completed real-name registration
OSS not yet activated on the account
You must configure a payment method in your account during the free trial period to maintain your eligibility for a free trial. The payment methods include credit cards, debit cards, or a Paytm wallet.
Users who completed Alibaba Cloud real-name registration for enterprises are eligible for the free trial of OSS Enterprise Edition (1 TB/month). However, users who have already used the free trial of OSS Personal Edition are not eligible for the free trial of OSS Enterprise Edition. Alibaba Cloud international site terms also apply.
Billing scope
The free quota applies only to the storage fees of Standard LRS objects in buckets. The following charges are not covered:
Infrequent Access (IA) LRS storage fees
Image processing (IMG) fees
Any other billable items beyond Standard LRS storage

Combined quotas with fixed free storage
In certain regions, new users also receive a fixed free quota of 5 GB/month for Standard LRS storage in addition to the trial quota. The two quotas stack as follows:

FAQ
What is the billing offset order if I purchase resource plans during the free trial?
The free trial quota is applied first, followed by the fixed 5 GB/month quota. If you purchased resource plans, those are applied next. Any remaining usage beyond all quotas and plans is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.
