Microservices Engine:Instance management

Last Updated:Jun 02, 2026

Create and manage Nacos or ZooKeeper instances in the Microservices Engine (MSE) console, configure VPC settings, and restrict access using a public IP address whitelist.

Create an instance

Two methods are available. For step-by-step instructions, see Create an MSE registry instance.

  1. Purchase an instance on the MSE product page. Use this method if you have not yet activated Microservices Registry.

  2. Create an instance directly in the MSE console. Use this method if you have already activated Microservices Registry.

Manage an instance

After creating a Nacos or ZooKeeper instance, you can view its basic information, restart it, or release it when it is no longer needed. For details, see Manage instances.

Manage the VPC of an instance

Two scenarios apply. For configuration steps, see Manage the VPC for an instance.

  1. Configure a VPC for an instance whose network type is Internet, to improve network stability.

  2. Change the VPC of an instance during application migration.

Configure a public IP address whitelist

Restrict instance access to specific IP addresses by configuring a public IP address whitelist. This limits the attack surface and improves instance security. For details, see Configure a whitelist.
