Microservices Engine:Risk management

Last Updated:Sep 13, 2024

The Nacos and ZooKeeper engines provide the scheduled inspection feature to periodically scan the engines. If you want to immediately view the inspection metrics of the engines, you can manually trigger a health check in the related console to evaluate the risks of the engines. The check results display the risks related to the specifications, versions, and high availability of the engines. The risk management feature provides suggestions and solutions to handle the risks, and records and scores the inspection history.

Prerequisites

Nacos engine risk management

A Nacos engine is created. For more information, see Create a Nacos engine.

Note

The Nacos Basic Edition is upgraded to Professional Edition. This prerequisite must be met if you use the Nacos Basic Edition. For more information, see Update a Nacos version.

ZooKeeper engine risk management

  • A ZooKeeper engine is created. For more information, see Create a ZooKeeper engine.

  • The ZooKeeper engine uses the Professional Edition. If you use ZooKeeper Basic Edition, upgrade the ZooKeeper engine to the Professional Edition. For more information, see Upgrade a ZooKeeper version.

Perform a health check

  1. Log on to the MSE console, and select a region in the top navigation bar.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Microservices Registry > Instances.

  3. On the Instances page, click the name of the instance.

  4. In the left-side navigation pane, click Risk Management. In the Cluster Health section, click Health Check to start an asynchronous scan.

The check result is expected to be returned within 5 to 10 minutes.

Configure notification settings

If you have selected Product operation notifications and added message recipients on the Common Settings page in Message Center, notifications are automatically sent to the specified recipients by using text messages, internal messages, or emails.

For a specific risk item, you can disable the notification feature. After you disable the notification feature, you no longer receive notifications. However, we recommend that you follow the suggestions to perform operations. This prevents instance failures.

Note

The risk management feature allows an MSE Nacos instance to send notifications when specific high-risk items are found during a health check. This prevents excessive notifications from affecting your experience. For more information, go to the MSE console.
