Tags let you categorize MongoDB instances by purpose, environment, team, or cost center, and then filter instances by tag. For example, add an environment:production tag to production instances to quickly separate them from staging or development instances.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
An Alibaba Cloud account with access to the MongoDB console
Resource Access Management (RAM) users cannot manage or use tags. Log in with your Alibaba Cloud account.
Limits
A tag is a key-value pair. Within a region, each tag key must be unique per Alibaba Cloud account. Tag values have no uniqueness restriction and are optional.
Edit tags for up to 50 instances in a single operation.
Attach up to 20 tags to a single instance.
Attach or detach up to 20 tags in a single operation.
Create a tag
Log on to the MongoDB console.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Replica Set Instances or Sharded Cluster Instances based on the instance type.
In the left navigation pane, click Replica Set Instances or Sharded Cluster Instances based on your instance type.
In the upper-left corner, select the resource group and region where your instance is located.
Open the Edit Tag dialog box using one of the following methods:
Single instance: Hover over the
icon in the Tag column of the target instance, and click Edit Tag.Multiple instances: Select the instances you want to tag, and click Edit Tag in the lower-left corner of the instance list.
Enter a Tag Key and a Tag Value, then click OK.
After you create a tag, you can attach it to other instances.
When the Tag Edited Successfully. message appears, click Close.
The tag is now displayed in the instance list for each tagged instance.
