ApsaraDB for MongoDB:Change disk configuration

Prerequisites

• The instance is a replica set or a sharded cluster.

• The instance uses ESSD PL1, ESSD PL2, or ESSD PL3 disks.

• For a replica set instance, the storage capacity must exceed 40 GB; for a sharded cluster instance, the storage capacity of each shard node must exceed 40 GB.

Considerations

• You can only change the disk type from ESSD to ESSD AutoPL. This change is irreversible.

• Changing between ESSD PL1, ESSD PL2, and ESSD PL3 disks is not supported.

• The disk type change from ESSD to ESSD AutoPL takes effect immediately without transient interruptions and typically does not affect your services. In rare cases, IOPS and access latency may fluctuate. We recommend that you perform this operation during off-peak hours.

• The change from ESSD to ESSD AutoPL typically completes within minutes. If data copying is required, the completion time depends on the data volume.

Procedure

1. Go to the Replica Set Instances or Sharded Cluster Instances page. At the top of the page, select a resource group and a region, and then click the ID of the target instance.

2. On the Basic Information page, in the Specification Information section, click Change Disk Configuration.

3. In the Change disk configuration dialog box, configure IOPS.

4. Click Confirm.

   For subscription instances, you are redirected to the payment page. Complete the payment as instructed.

While the disk configuration is changing, the instance status is In the process of matching. When the status changes to Running, the change is complete.
