The search index (SearchIndex) feature supports complex multidimensional queries on wide table data. This topic describes how to enable it from the Lindorm console.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
Reviewed the resource capacity of your instance. For details, see Cluster capacity planning.
Note that the search index feature depends on Lindorm Tunnel Service (LTS), so both services are activated together during activation.
Enable search index
Log on to the Lindorm console.
In the upper-left corner, select the region where your instance is deployed.
On the Instances page, click the ID of the target instance, or click View Instance Details in the Actions column.
In the left navigation pane, click Wide Table Engine.
Click the SearchIndex tab.
Click Activate Now.
On the Upgrade/Downgrade page, configure the parameters.
Some parameters are not required if you already purchased the relevant service. Skip Node Specifications for Search Engine (Solr API), Number of search nodes, and Storage Space if you purchased the search engine when you created your Lindorm instance. Skip Core Specifications for LTS Data Synchronization and Number of LTS nodes if you already enabled Backup and Recovery or Change Tracking.
Parameter Description Node Specifications for Search Engine (Solr API) Select high node specifications. For example, 16 cores and 64 GB of memory can typically handle more than 500 queries per second (QPS) and more than 50,000 transactions per second (TPS) for write operations. Number of search nodes Select at least two nodes to prevent a single point of failure. The valid range is 0–60. Core Specifications for LTS Data Synchronization Select 4 cores and 16 GB of memory. You can scale up or scale out the LTS data synchronization service later as needed. Number of LTS nodes Select two LTS nodes. The valid range is 0–50. Storage Space Select the storage capacity for the search engine.
Read and select the Terms of Service checkbox.
Click Buy Now.
Next steps
The LTS service activated with search index provides the same features as a standalone LTS instance. For details on the differences, see Differences in purchasing.
To log on to LTS from your Lindorm instance, see Log on to LTS from a Lindorm instance.
