Activate the streaming engine for your Lindorm instance to process real-time data streams. During activation, you create an initial resource group that defines the compute capacity available to your streaming workloads. After activation, you can add more resource groups to isolate workloads across teams or jobs.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
A Lindorm instance. For more information, see Create an instance
Activate the streaming engine
Log on to the Lindorm console.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where your instance is deployed.
On the Instances page, click the ID of the target instance, or click View Instance Details in the Actions column.
In the left navigation pane, click Stream Engine.
Click Activate Now.
In the Create Resource Group dialog box, configure the following parameters, then click Create.
NoteThe streaming engine supports multi-resource group isolation. After activation, create additional resource groups on the Cluster Management tab.
Parameter Description Resource Group Name A unique name for the resource group. Worker CU Compute unit (CU) specification per worker node. A higher CU provides more CPU and memory for stream processing tasks. Worker NUM Number of worker nodes in the resource group. Increase this value for higher parallelism or throughput.
In the Lindorm console, verify that the instance status changes to Running.
