Billing methods
Lindorm supports two billing methods: subscription and pay-as-you-go.

Subscription |
This is a pre-payment model where you pay for an instance at the time of purchase. This model is ideal for long-term, predictable workloads and is more cost-effective than the pay-as-you-go model. Longer subscriptions receive larger discounts. You can switch an instance from the subscription model to pay-as-you-go. Pay-as-you-go |
Also known as post-payment, this billing method charges you hourly based on the instance specifications. The fees are automatically deducted from your Alibaba Cloud account. This model is ideal for short-term or unpredictable workloads, such as development and testing, as you can release the instance at any time to save costs. When your workload stabilizes, you can switch to the subscription model to reduce costs. For more information, see Change the billing method from pay-as-you-go to subscription. |
Discounts

Discount calculation: The discounted price is calculated by applying the specified discount to the list price.

Discount eligibility: Discounts are available for subscription plans of one year or more. Longer durations receive higher discounts.
