If you want to use a pay-as-you-go instance for a long period of time, you can change the billing method of the instance from pay-as-you-go to subscription and select a subscription duration based on your business requirements. This can help you reduce costs.
Prerequisites
The billing method of your instance is pay-as-you-go and the instance is in the Running state.
Your account has no unpaid subscription orders for your instance.
NoteIf you change the billing method of an instance from pay-as-you-go to subscription, a subscription order is generated. If the order is not paid or canceled, you cannot purchase a new instance or change the billing method of the instance from pay-as-you-go to subscription. You can log on to the Billing Management console and choose Cost Management > Orders to complete the payment or cancel the order.
The instance whose billing method you want to change is a Lindorm, Lindorm Lightweight, single-node Lindorm, or Lindorm Tunnel Service (LTS) instance.
Make sure that the balance of your Alibaba Cloud account is sufficient to pay the subscription fees.
Usage notes
A subscription instance cannot be manually released within the subscription duration.
Procedure
Log on to the Lindorm console.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the instance is deployed.
On the Instances page, find the instance for which you want to change the billing method, and click Change to Subscription in the Actions column.
On the Switch to Subscription page, complete the settings for the billing method change.
Configure the Subscription Period parameter and view the value of the displayed Expiration Date parameter.
Read and select Lindorm Terms of Service. Then, click Buy Now.
On the Purchase page, complete the payment.
