This topic describes how to activate LindormSearch.
Prerequisites
The resources required by your business are evaluated before you purchase LindormSearch nodes. For information about how to evaluate the resources that are required by your business, see Plan the cluster capacity.
Configure LindormSearch nodes when you purchase a Lindorm instance
- Log on to the Lindorm console.
- Click Create.
- On the purchase page that appears, configure the specification and number of LindormSearch nodes by specifying the Node Spec of Search Engine (Solr API) and Search Engine Nodes parameters. Note
- If your application is mainly used to search information, we recommend that you select a high specification and purchase at least 2 nodes. After the Lindorm instance is created, you can change the specification and the number of nodes based on your business requirements.

- Click Buy Now.
Purchase LindormSearch nodes after a Lindorm instance is created
If LindormTable is activated for your Lindorm instance and you need to search data in wide tables, you can enable the search index feature.
- In the left-side navigation pane, click SearchIndex and click Activate Now.
- Select specifications for the LindormSearch nodes and Lindorm Tunnel Service (LTS) nodes.
- Click Buy Now.
Check the status of the Lindorm instance
After the payment is complete, the Lindorm instance is in the Creating state. After the state of the instance changes to Running, you can use the instance.
