If you plan to use a pay-as-you-go instance for an extended period, you can change its billing method to subscription and select an appropriate subscription duration. This helps reduce your costs.
Prerequisites
The target instance uses the pay-as-you-go billing method and is in the Running state.
Your account has no unpaid subscription orders for your instance.
NoteWhen you change the billing method from pay-as-you-go to subscription, a subscription order is generated. If the order is not paid or canceled, you cannot purchase a new instance or change the billing method of the instance from pay-as-you-go to subscription. You can log on to the Billing Management console and choose Order Management to complete the payment or cancel the order.
The instance whose billing method you want to change is a Lindorm, Lindorm Lightweight, or Lindorm Tunnel Service instance.
Ensure that your Alibaba Cloud account has sufficient balance to pay the subscription fees.
Usage notes
A subscription instance cannot be manually released. If you no longer need the instance, you can unsubscribe it from the console. For more information, see Unsubscribe from a subscription instance.
Procedure
Log on to the Lindorm console.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the instance is deployed.
On the Instance List page, click Change to Subscription in the Actions column of the target instance.
On the Switch to Subscription page, complete the settings for the billing method change.
Select Subscription Length, and view Expiration Date.
Read the Terms of Service and click Buy Now.
On the Payment page, follow the prompts to complete the payment process.
