IPv6 Gateway:Enable and manage IPv6 internet bandwidth

By default, an IPv6 address supports only private communication. Provision internet bandwidth to enable public access, and modify or delete the bandwidth as needed.

Prerequisites

You have created an IPv6 address.

Enable IPv6 internet bandwidth

  1. Log on to the IPv6 Gateway console.
  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the IPv6 gateway is deployed.
  3. On the IPv6 Gateway page, click the target IPv6 Gateway instance ID.

  4. On the IPv6 Gateway details page, click the IPv6 Internet Bandwidth tab, find the target IPv6 address, and click Activate Internet Bandwidth in the Actions column.

  5. On the IPv6 Internet Bandwidth (Pay-as-you-go) page, set the following parameters, click Buy Now, and complete the payment.

    Description

    Traffic

    Metering method for internet bandwidth.

    Two methods are available: Pay-By-Bandwidth and Pay-By-Data-Transfer. Billing for IPv6 Gateway.

    Bandwidth

    Maximum bandwidth.

    Billing Cycle

    Billing cycle. Valid values: By Day and By Hour.

    • If the metering method is Pay-By-Bandwidth, the billing cycle is By Day.

    • If the metering method is Pay-By-Data-Transfer, the billing cycle is By Hour.

Modify IPv6 internet bandwidth

  1. Log on to the IPv6 Gateway console.
  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the IPv6 gateway is deployed.
  3. On the IPv6 Gateway page, click the target IPv6 Gateway instance ID.

  4. On the IPv6 Gateway details page, click the IPv6 Internet Bandwidth tab, find the target IPv6 address, and click Modify Bandwidth in the Actions column.

  5. On the Modify Bandwidth page, adjust the Bandwidth slider, accept the terms of service, and click Buy Now to complete the payment.

Delete IPv6 internet bandwidth

Delete internet bandwidth if an IPv6 address no longer requires public communication.

  1. Log on to the IPv6 Gateway console.
  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the IPv6 gateway is deployed.
  3. On the IPv6 Gateway page, click the target IPv6 Gateway instance ID.

  4. On the IPv6 Internet Bandwidth tab, find the target IPv6 address, and then click Delete Internet Bandwidth in the Actions column.

  5. In the Delete IPv6 Internet Bandwidth dialog box, click OK.

    Warning

    Deleting the IPv6 internet bandwidth interrupts public communication for the IPv6 address. Proceed with caution.
