Data Services for IoT Platform includes preset metrics by default. After you complete a data backup, if preset metrics are not available, you must manually add them to your products. These metrics enable metric generation and data analytics.
Prerequisites
You have completed a data backup for your product. For more information, see data backup.
Procedure
Follow these steps to manually add preset metrics.
Imported preset metrics cannot be edited.

In the IoT Platform console, go to the Overview page and click the ID or alias of the target Enterprise Edition instance.

In the left-side navigation pane, select Data Service > Data Metric and click Customize Metric.

On the Custom Metrics tab, click Product Angle of View.

On the Product Angle of View tab, find the target product and click Import in the Actions column.
You can also select the checkboxes for multiple products and click Import at the bottom of the list.

In the Import Preset Metrics panel, select the properties you want to import and click Import.
NoteThe Add atomic words at the same time checkbox is selected by default. This adds atomic words with the same names as the metrics to the thesaurus. For more information, see Add atomic words.
The property list includes columns such as Property name, Identifier, Metric type, Unit of measurement, Data type, Precision, and Decimal places. You can use the drop-down filters or the search box to locate a specific property.
After you import the metrics, on the Product Angle of View tab, click View for the corresponding product. You can then see the imported preset metrics in the metric list on the Product Details page.
