Enable the free trial for an instance

Note

You can upgrade the edition of an instance to Enterprise Edition during the free trial. If you upgrade the instance edition during the free trial, the free trial of the instance ends in advance.

After the free trial of an instance expires as scheduled, the instance is automatically degraded to a Free Edition instance, and you can no longer use the paid features of IDaaS by using the instance. However, the data in the instance is retained.

Upgrade an instance

Log on to the IDaaS console. In the left-side navigation pane, click EIAM. On the EIAM page, click the IDaaS tab. On the IDaaS tab, find the instance that you want to upgrade and click Upgrade in the Actions column. The instance upgrade page appears. You can also upgrade the instance on the Quick Start page of the instance. For more information, see Pricing.

Two-factor authentication may be triggered when you release an instance. In this case, you must use the Alibaba Cloud account to which the instance belongs to complete two-factor authentication by using the verification code that is contained in a text message sent to your mobile phone. After the authentication is complete, the instance is released and all data in the instance is deleted.

Note

You can release only instances of Free Edition. To release an Enterprise Edition instance, you must downgrade the instance to a Free Edition instance.

Important

After an instance is released, the data of the instance is deleted and cannot be restored.
