Hologres:Serverless instance billing

Last Updated:Mar 26, 2026

Hologres serverless instances are billed based on the actual computing resources and storage space your workload consumes — no reserved capacity, no idle charges.

Billing items

Serverless instances have two billing dimensions: computing resources and storage resources.

Computing resources

Resource Billing
Access node (4 vCPU cores, 16 GB memory) Free of charge. No holding cost.
Serverless computing resources Pay-as-you-go based on actual consumption. All data write and query operations use serverless computing resources.

For more information about serverless computing resource usage and billing, see Usage monitoring and cost optimization.

For unit prices, see Pay-as-you-go.

Storage resources

Serverless instances support standard storage (locally redundant storage) only, billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.

For unit prices, see Pay-as-you-go.

Monitor usage

Computing resources

Set up alert rules to track serverless computing resource consumption and avoid unexpected charges. For setup instructions, see Consumption Monitoring and Alerting.

Important

Serverless instances have no reserved computing resources and cannot fall back to local instance compute. When you enable the daily cumulative usage limit in cost monitoring and alerting, SQL queries fail immediately once the limit is reached.

Storage resources

Set up alert rules for storage resources to prevent excessive data accumulation. When storage volume reaches the threshold you set, the system automatically cleans up historical data as needed. For setup instructions, see Metrics.
