Manage instances in HoloWeb to connect, edit, configure users and permissions, switch or create databases, log off, and delete instances.
Overview
HoloWeb lets you manage both logged-off and logged-on instances through a right-click context menu on the Metadata Management tab. The available operations depend on the instance state and network type.

Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:

A Hologres instance (logged-off or logged-on) in your Alibaba Cloud account

Access permissions to the target instance in the current region
Manage logged-off instances
When you activate a Hologres engine instance, the system automatically creates a logged-off instance of VPC network type. This auto-created VPC instance appears in the list with a
icon. You cannot edit its details or delete it.
To manage a logged-off instance:

Log on to the Hologres Management Console.

In the navigation pane on the left of the top menu bar, select the desired region.

Click Go to HoloWeb to open the HoloWeb development page.

On the Metadata Management tab, right-click the target logged-off instance.

The logged-off instances section lists all instances in the current region that your Alibaba Cloud account has access permissions to.
Select one of the following operations:

Connect to Instance — Logs on to the instance and moves it to the logged-on instances list. For details, see Log on to an instance.

Edit Instance — Opens the instance configuration page. Editable parameters vary by network type: For a description of each parameter, see Edit instance parameter description.

Public network-type instances: all parameters are editable. -
VPC-type instances: only the Description field is editable.

Delete Instance — Deletes the instance. After confirming the instance information, click OK
Only public network-type instances (
) can be deleted. VPC-type instances (
) cannot be deleted. -
Manage logged-on instances
To manage a logged-on instance:

Log on to the Hologres Management Console.

In the navigation pane on the left of the top menu bar, select the desired region.

Click Go to HoloWeb to open the HoloWeb development page.

On the Metadata Management tab, right-click the target logged-on instance.

Refresh — Syncs the latest instance information after you modify instance settings.

VPC-type instances: only the Description field is editable.

Copy Instance URL — Copies the Hologres instance link, which you can then paste.

Users — Opens the Users page, where you can add or delete users for the instance. For details, see User management.

DB Authorization — Opens the DB Authorization page, where you can create and authorize new databases or modify permissions for existing databases. For details, see DB management.

IP address whitelist — Opens the IP address whitelist page, where you can configure an IP address whitelist to control access to the instance. For details, see IP address whitelist.

Switch Database — Opens the Connect to Instance page, where you can switch to a different database on the current instance. For details, see Log on to an instance.

Create Database — Opens the Create Database page, where you can create a new database for the current instance. The new database appears in the list after creation. For details, see Create a database.

Log Off — Logs off the instance and moves it to the logged-off instances list. After confirming the instance information, click OK.

Delete Instance — Deletes the instance. After confirming the instance information, click OK
Only public network-type instances (
) can be deleted. VPC-type instances (
