This topic describes the configuration limits of Global Accelerator (GA) and the default quotas and quota adjustment instructions for different types of GA resources.
Limits on instance types
The following table describes the limitations of standard GA instances and basic GA instances:
Pay-as-you-go standard GA instances support selecting accelerated IP address types, including Elastic IP Address and Anycast Elastic IP Address types. Subscription standard GA instances only support the Elastic IP Address type.
For subscription standard GA instances, you need to select the appropriate instance specification as needed and associate a basic bandwidth plan.
Subscription basic GA instances can only be associated with basic bandwidth plans that provide standard or premium bandwidth.
The accelerated IP address type for basic GA instances is set to Elastic IP Address by default and does not support the Anycast Elastic IP Address type.
GA instances with Large III or higher specifications are unavailable by default. To use these instances, contact your account manager.

The types of endpoints that can be associated with a GA instance |
Note For more information about endpoint types, see Endpoints. | Elastic Network Interfaces (ENIs), Classic Load Balancer (CLB) instances, Network Load Balancer (NLB) instances, and Elastic Compute Service instances. Note For more information about endpoint types, see Add and manage endpoint groups and endpoints. | Not adjustable |
The maximum number of origin probing tasks that can be created for each GA instance | 5 | N/A | You can increase quotas in Quota Center or on the Quota Management page. For more information, see Increase a quota. |

Acceleration area limits
Resource | Limit on standard GA instances | Limit on basic GA instances | Request more quota |
Acceleration areas supported by GA | China North, China South, China East, China Southwest, Asia Pacific, Europe, North America, South America, and Middle East Note You can also specify regions in each acceleration area. For more information about the mapping between areas and regions, see Acceleration areas and regions for standard GA instances and Acceleration areas and regions for basic GA instances. | Not adjustable
Types of accelerated IP addresses supported by GA |
Note For more information about accelerated IP address types, see Accelerated IP addresses. | Elastic IP Address (default) | Cannot be modified |
The maximum number of accelerated IP addresses that can be added to each GA instance | Determined by the billing method and accelerated IP address type:
| 20 | You can increase quotas in Quota Center or on the Quota Management page. For more information, see Increase a quota. |
The maximum number of idle accelerated IP addresses of each GA instance | N/A | 10 | You can increase quotas in Quota Center or on the Quota Management page. For more information, see Increase a quota. |
The minimum bandwidth that can be allocated to each region in an acceleration area |
| If the accelerated IP address type is Elastic IP Address: 2 Mbps | Cannot be adjusted |
Limits on listeners
Resource | Limit on standard GA instances | Limit on basic GA instances | Request more quota |
The maximum number of listeners that can be created for each GA instance | 50 | N/A | Contact your account manager to request a quota increase. |
The routing types that are supported by listeners | Intelligent routing and custom routing. Note For more information about routing types, see Routing types. | Cannot be adjusted
The maximum number of listener ports that can be specified for each listener |
| Not adjustable | |
The range of ports that are supported by listeners | 1–65499 | Not adjustable
The maximum number of forwarding rules that are supported by each listener | 20 | You can increase quotas in Quota Center or on the Quota Management page. For more information, see Increase a quota.
The maximum number of forwarding conditions that are supported by each listener | 40 | You can increase quotas in Quota Center or on the Quota Management page. For more information, see Increase a quota.
The maximum number of additional certificates that can be associated with each HTTPS listener | 25 | Cannot be adjusted |
Limits on endpoint groups
Resource | Limit on standard GA instances | Limit on basic GA instances | Request More Quota |
The maximum number of endpoint groups that can be added to each GA instance | Determined by the billing method, along with the number and types of listeners that you add to a GA instance:
| 1 | You can request more endpoint groups only for TCP or UDP listeners. You can increase quotas in Quota Center or on the Quota Management page. For more information, see Increase a quota. |
The maximum number of virtual endpoint groups that can be associated with each listener | 10 | N/A | You can increase quotas in Quota Center or on the Quota Management page. For more information, see Increase a quota. |
The maximum number of endpoints that can be added to each endpoint group | 4 | 200 | You can increase quotas in Quota Center or on the Quota Management page. For more information, see Increase a quota. |
