    Global Accelerator:Manage Global Accelerator quotas

    You can view Global Accelerator (GA) quotas and usage, apply for quota increases, and set quota usage alerts through either the Quota Center console or the GA console.

    Background information

    Alibaba Cloud Quota Center is a centralized service for managing quotas across Alibaba Cloud services, including Global Accelerator. If you manage quotas for multiple services, we recommend using Quota Center for a unified experience.

    Alternatively, you can manage quotas directly on the Global Accelerator console if you do not need centralized quota management across services.

    Limits

    By default, only Alibaba Cloud accounts can use Quota Center. To allow a RAM user to use it, grant the AliyunQuotasFullAccess permission to the user. For more information, see Authorize a RAM user.

    View quotas

    You can view Global Accelerator quotas in the following ways:

    • In the Quota Center console, select a quota type (such as general quota or privilege quota), select the product, and apply filters to view quotas and usage.

    • View quotas on the Global Accelerator console.

    • For a list of all quota items and default values, see the Quotas documentation.

    View quotas in Quota Center

    1. Log on to the Quota Center console.

    2. View different quota types as follows:

      • View general quotas

        1. In the navigation pane, choose Products > General Quotas.

        2. On the Products with General Quotas page, find the Networks section and click Global Accelerator.

        3. On the General Quotas page, you can view the name, description, and usage of general quota items.

      • View API rate limits

        1. In the navigation pane, choose Products > API Rate Limits.

        2. On the Products with API Rate Limits page, choose Networks > Global Accelerator.

        3. On the API Rate Limits page, you can filter by keyword, region, or other criteria to view details for specific API rate limits, including their versions and quota values.

      • View privilege quotas

        1. In the navigation pane, choose Products > Privileges.

        2. On the Products with Privileges page, choose Networks > Global Accelerator.

        3. On the Privileges page, you can view details for specific privilege quotas, including their names, descriptions, and effective or expiration times.

    View quotas on the Global Accelerator console

    1. Log on to the Quota Management page of the Global Accelerator console.

    2. On the Quota Management page, select the desired Quota Category, find the target quota item, and then view information such as the name, description, and usage of the quota item.

    Increase quotas

    If you need a quota value higher than the default, you can apply for an increase in the following ways:

    The available quotas and application results are the same regardless of which console you use.

    Increase quotas in Quota Center

    1. Log on to the Quota Center console.

    2. Select the quota type that you want to increase and follow the corresponding steps.

      • Increase a general quota

        1. In the navigation pane, choose Products > General Quotas.

        2. On the Products with General Quotas page, find the Networks section and click Global Accelerator.

        3. On the General Quotas page, find the target quota item, and in the Actions column, click Apply.

        4. In the Apply for Quotas dialog box, set Applied Quotas and Reason, and then click OK.

          Note

          • The technical support team reviews all quota increase applications. To improve your chance of approval, provide a reasonable value and a detailed reason.

          • Alibaba Cloud evaluates your application and sends the result by SMS and email.

        5. In the navigation pane, click Application Records to view the status of your quota increase application.

          If the application status is Approved, the quota increase is successful.

      • Apply for a privilege quota

        1. In the navigation pane, choose Products > Privileges.

        2. On the Products with Privileges page, choose Networks > Global Accelerator.

        3. On the Privileges page, find the target quota item, and in the Actions column, click Apply.

        4. In the Apply for Privileges dialog box, set Applied Quotas, Time, Reason, and Notify Result, and then click OK.

          Note

          • If you do not specify an effective time, the time of submission is used by default. If you do not specify an expiration time, the quota is valid for 99 years from the effective time by default. The expiration time must be later than the effective time.

          • The technical support team reviews all quota increase applications. To improve your chance of approval, provide a reasonable value and a detailed reason.

          • The result of your application is sent by SMS and email.

        5. After you submit the application, click Application Records in the Actions column of the target quota item to view the status of the application.

          If the application status is Approved, the quota increase is successful.

    Increase quotas on the Global Accelerator console

    1. Log on to the Quota Management page of the Global Accelerator console.

    2. On the Quota Management page, select the Quota Category that you want to increase, find the target quota item, and then click Apply in the Actions column.

      • Increase a general quota

        In the Apply for Quotas dialog box, set Applied Quotas and Reason, and then click OK.

        • The technical support team reviews all quota increase applications. To improve your chance of approval, provide a reasonable value and a detailed reason.

        • Alibaba Cloud evaluates your application and sends the result by SMS and email.

      • Apply for a privilege quota

        In the Apply For Privileges dialog box, set Applied Quotas, Time, Reason, and Notify Result, and then click OK.

    3. After the application is submitted, you can click Actions in the Application Records column or choose Application Records from the Actions column menu to view the application status.

      If the application status is Approved, the quota increase is successful.

    Create quota templates

    Quota templates allow you to request multiple quota increases at once, improving efficiency and automation of quota management across your organization.

    To create a quota template, you must meet the following requirements:

    • You must be logged on with a management account.

    • You must have Resource Directory enabled. For instructions, see Enable Resource Directory.

    Add to templates in Quota Center

    1. Log on to the Quota Center console.

    2. Select the type of quota that you want to add to a quota template and follow the corresponding steps.

      • Add a general quota item to a quota template

        1. In the navigation pane, choose Products > General Quotas.

        2. On the Products with General Quotas page, find the Networks section and click Global Accelerator.

        3. On the General Quotas page, find the target quota item, and in the Actions column, click Add to Quota Template.

        4. In the Add to Quota Template dialog box, set the Applied Quotas for the target quota item, and then click OK.

      • Add a privilege quota item to a quota template

        1. In the navigation pane, choose Products > Privileges.

        2. On the Products with Privileges page, choose Networks > Global Accelerator.

        3. On the Privileges page, find the target quota item, and in the Actions column, click Add to Quota Template.

        4. In the Create Privilege Template dialog box, set the Applied Quotas, Time, and Notify Result for the target quota item, and then click OK.

    Add to templates on the Global Accelerator console

    1. Log on to the Quota Management page of the Global Accelerator console.

    2. On the Quota Management page, find the target quota, and in the Actions column, click Add to Quota Template.

    3. In the Add to Quota Template dialog box, set the Applied Quotas for the target quota item, and then click OK.
