Managing Global Accelerator quotas includes viewing quotas and quota usage, requesting quota increases, and setting quota usage alerts. This topic describes how to increase quotas and create quota templates for Global Accelerator (GA).
Background information
Alibaba Cloud Quota Center is a service that lets you manage the quotas of various Alibaba Cloud services in a centralized manner. Currently, Quota Center supports multiple Alibaba Cloud services, including Global Accelerator. If you are using multiple Alibaba Cloud services and want to manage the quotas of all your cloud services in one interface, we recommend that you use Quota Center.
In addition to Quota Center, Global Accelerator also provides quota management in its own console. If you do not need to centrally manage quotas for multiple cloud services, you can directly manage service resources in the Global Accelerator Management Console.
Limits
By default, only the Alibaba Cloud account can perform operations in Quota Center. To use a Resource Access Management (RAM) user to perform management operations, you must first grant the RAM user the permission to manage quotas, which is AliyunQuotasFullAccess. For information about the authorization steps, see Authorize a RAM user.
View quotas
You can view Global Accelerator quotas using any of the following methods:
Through the Quota Center console, select a quota type (such as general quota or privilege quota), select the corresponding product as prompted by the interface, and set query conditions to view quota items and the usage of each quota item.
View quotas through the Global Accelerator console.
On the GA quotas documentation page, view all quota items and their default values.
View quotas through Quota Center
Log on to the Quota Center console.
Based on the following information, select the quota type you want to view.
View general quotas
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
On the Products With General Quotas page, find the Networking section, and click Global Accelerator.
On the General Quotas page, you can view information about general quota items, including their names, descriptions, and usage.
View API rate limits
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
On the Products With API Rate Limits page, choose .
On the API Rate Limits page, you can filter by keywords, regions, and other criteria to view information about target API rate limit items, including their versions and quotas.
View privilege quotas
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
On the Products With Privileges page, choose .
On the Privileges page, you can view information about target privilege quota items, including their names, descriptions, and effective or expiration times.
View quotas through the Global Accelerator console
Log on to the Global Accelerator Management Console Quota Management page.
On the Quota Management page, select the Quota Type you want to view, then find the target quota item. You can view information about the target quota, including its name, description, and usage.
Increase quotas
If your business requires more than the default value of a specific Global Accelerator quota, and the quota item supports adjustment, you can request a quota increase through the following methods:
By logging on to the Alibaba Cloud Quota Center console.
By logging on to the Global Accelerator Management Console.
The quota items and results after execution are consistent between the Quota Center console and the Global Accelerator console.
Increase quotas through Quota Center
Log on to the Quota Center console.
Based on the following information, select the quota type you want to increase and perform the operation.
Increase general quotas
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
On the Products With General Quotas page, find the Networking section, and click Global Accelerator.
On the General Quotas page, find the target quota item, and click Apply in the Actions column.
In the Apply For Quotas dialog box, set the Applied Quotas and Reason, and then click OK.
NoteQuota increase applications are reviewed by the technical support team of each cloud product. If you want to increase the chances of approval, please provide reasonable application values and detailed reasons when applying for a quota.
Alibaba Cloud will evaluate the information you provide and then approve or reject your application. The quota application result will be notified to you via text message and email.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Application Records to view the review status of your quota increase application.
If the status of the quota increase application is Approved, the quota increase is successful.
Apply for privilege quotas
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
On the Products With Privileges page, choose .
On the Privileges page, find the target quota item, and click Apply in the Actions column.
In the Apply For Privileges dialog box, set the Quota Value, Time, Reason, and Notify Result, and then click OK.
NoteIf you do not select an effective time, the effective time defaults to the submission time of the quota increase application. If you do not select an expiration time, the expiration time defaults to 99 years from the effective time. The expiration time of the quota increase application must be later than the effective time.
Quota increase applications are reviewed by the technical support team of each cloud product. If you want to increase the chances of approval, please provide reasonable application values and detailed reasons when applying for a quota.
The quota application result will be notified to you via text message and email.
After the application is completed, you can click Application Records in the Actions column of the target quota item to view the review status of your quota increase application.
If the status of the quota increase application is Approved, the quota increase is successful.
Increase quotas through the Global Accelerator console
Log on to the Global Accelerator Quota Management page.
On the Quota Management page, select the Quota Type you want to increase, then find the target quota item, and click Apply in the Actions column.
Increase general quotas
In the Apply For Quotas dialog box, set the Applied Quotas and Reason, and then click OK.

After you submit the application, you can click Application Records in the Actions column or choose
> Application Records in the Actions column to view the review status of the quota application.If the status of the quota increase application is Approved, it indicates that the quota increase is successful.
Create quota templates
When a quota template's status is enabled and you have joined the quota template, if the management account of the resource directory adds a new member, the quota template automatically submits a quota increase application for the new member, while existing members remain unchanged. With quota templates, you can apply to increase multiple quota items at once, improving the efficiency and automation level of quota management across your entire organization.
Before creating a quota template, ensure that:
You must log in using an enterprise management account.
You have enabled the resource directory. For specific operations, see Enable a resource directory.
Create and join quota templates through Quota Center
Log on to the Quota Center console.
Based on the following information, select the quota type you want to add to the quota template and perform the operation.
Add general quota items to a quota template
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
On the Products With General Quotas page, find the Networking section, and click Global Accelerator.
On the General Quotas page, find the target quota item, and click Create Quota Template in the Actions column.
In the Create Quota Template dialog box, set the Applied Quotas for the target quota item, and then click OK.
Add privilege quota items to a quota template
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
On the Products With Privileges page, choose .
On the Privileges page, find the target quota item, and click Create Quota Template in the Actions column.
In the Create Privilege Template dialog box, set the Quota Value, Time, and Notify Result for the target quota item, and then click OK.
Join quota templates through the Global Accelerator console
Log on to the Global Accelerator Management Console Quota Management page.
On the Quota Management page, find the target quota, and click Create Quota Template in the Actions column.
In the Create Quota Template dialog box, set the Applied Quotas for the target quota item, and then click OK.
