Product resources
EventBridge
An EventBridge can be either a system event bus or a custom event bus.
System event bus: A built-in event bus that the system automatically creates to receive events from Alibaba Cloud services. You cannot modify this event bus.
Custom event bus: An EventBridge that you create and manage. This is a paid service.
EventStream
An EventStream is an end-to-end channel for streaming events and is suitable for end-to-end stream processing scenarios. EventStreams are a paid service and support two metering methods: pay-by-event and pay-by-CU. You must select one.
EventHouse
An EventHouse is used to store and analyze events. EventHouse has ended its free public preview and transitioned to commercial billing as of 00:00:00 (UTC+8) on July 23, 2026. EventHouse uses the pay-as-you-go billing method. You are not charged if you do not use this service.

Billing cycles
Charges for EventBridge services, including event buses and event streams, are based on the usage of billable items. Details are as follows:
Idle resource occupation fee: This fee is settled daily (every 24 hours). A new cycle begins after each settlement. The bill for a given day is available on the following day.
Other billable items: These items are settled hourly (UTC+8). After a settlement is complete, a new cycle begins.
NoteBill generation may be delayed. A bill for a specific hour is typically available about three hours later. For example, the bill for the period from 01:00 to 02:00 can be viewed after 04:00.
Overdue payments
An account is considered overdue if its available credit (account balance plus coupons) is less than the amount due. Overdue payments may disrupt your paid services. To avoid service interruptions, top up your account promptly.

When you use the paid services of EventBridge, you can choose from the following payment methods:

Alibaba Cloud pre-authorizes your PayPal account when you activate pay-as-you-go products and start to incur charges.
