When your Logstash cluster can no longer keep up with your workload—for example, when you notice sustained high CPU or memory usage, increased processing latency, or a backlog of unprocessed events—upgrade the cluster configuration to increase its capacity.
Upgrading triggers a cluster restart to apply the changes. The restart duration depends on the cluster specifications, data structure, and data volume. Plan the upgrade during off-peak hours to minimize the impact on your workload.
Upgrade the cluster configuration
Log on to the Elasticsearch console.
In the top navigation bar, select the region where your Logstash cluster resides.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Logstash Clusters. On the Logstash Clusters page, find the cluster and click its ID.
Go to the Upgrade/Downgrade page using either of the following methods:
On the Basic Information page, click Upgrade in the lower-right corner.
On the Logstash Clusters page, find the cluster, and in the Actions column, choose Upgrade Configuration.
On the Upgrade/Downgrade page, modify the parameters based on your requirements. The Current Config section shows your existing cluster configuration for reference. For details about each parameter, see Create an Alibaba Cloud Logstash cluster.
Read the Terms of Service and click Buy Now.
After payment, the system restarts the cluster to apply the changes.
