When you manage many Alibaba Cloud Elasticsearch clusters, use tags to categorize and filter them. A tag is a key-value pair you attach to a cluster — for example, environment=production or team=infra. You can then filter the cluster list by tag key and tag value to quickly locate the clusters you need.
Attach tags
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Elasticsearch console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Elasticsearch Clusters.
On the cluster list page, open the tag editor:
Single cluster: In the Actions column for the target cluster, choose .
Multiple clusters: Select the clusters, then click Edit Tag at the bottom of the page.
In the Edit Tag dialog box, enter a Keys value and a Values value, then click OK.
Filter clusters by tag
On the cluster list page, click Tag Filtering.
In the drop-down list, select a tag key and a tag value. To remove an individual filter, click the
icon next to the tag. To clear all filters, click Clear.
Detach tags
Detach tags from a single cluster

Limits
| Constraint | Limit |
|---|---|
| Tags per cluster | 20 |
| Clusters per batch attach operation | 50 |
| Tag keys per batch detach operation | 20 |
| Tag key uniqueness | Each tag key must be unique. Attaching a tag with an existing key overwrites the previous value. |
| Region scope | Tags are scoped to the region where they are created. A tag created in the China (Hangzhou) region is not visible in the China (Beijing) region. You cannot use it to filter clusters in the China (Beijing) region. |
| Detached tag cleanup | When a tag is detached from all associated clusters, it is deleted from the system cache within 2 hours. |
