When you create a notification policy, you can specify a contact group that receives alert notifications. When the dispatch rule of the notification policy is triggered, the alert management module of Enterprise Distributed Application Service (EDAS) sends alert notifications to contacts in the specified contact group by using phone calls, text messages, emails, and DingTalk chatbots.

Prerequisites

At least one contact is created. For more information, see Create a contact.

Create a contact group

  1. Log on to the EDAS console.
  2. On the Applications page, select EDAS Kubernetes Cluster or Container Service or Serverless Kubernetes Cluster from the Cluster Type drop-down list. Then click the name of the application for which you want to create a contact group.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Management > Contact.
  4. On the Contact page, click the Contact Group tab and click Create a contact group in the upper-right corner.
  5. In the Create a contact group dialog box, enter a group name in the Group name field, select alert contacts from the Alarm contact list, and then click OK.

Manage contact groups

After you create a contact group, you can search for, edit, and delete the contact group on the Contact Group tab.
  • To search for a contact group, go to the Contact Group tab, enter the contact group name or keywords of the name in the search box, and then click the search icon.
  • To edit a contact group, click the pencil_01 icon to the right of the contact group, edit information in the Edit a contact group dialog box, and then click OK.
    Note You can edit only contact groups that are created by using the current account.
  • To view the contacts in a contact group, click the Down arrow icon to the left of the contact group to show the group.
    Note You can remove one or more contacts that are created by using the current account from a contact group after the contacts are shown. To remove a contact, find the contact and click Remove in the Operation column.
  • To delete a contact group, click the delete_01 icon to the right of the contact group and then click OK in the message that appears.
    Notice
    • Before you delete a contact group, make sure that the contact group is not added to a notification policy. Otherwise, alert notifications may fail to be sent.
    • You can delete only contact groups that are created by using the current account.
