Enterprise Distributed Application Service:Manage alert contacts

When a dispatch rule in a notification policy triggers, Enterprise Distributed Application Service (EDAS) sends alert notifications to designated contacts. Notifications are delivered through phone calls, text messages, emails, and DingTalk chatbots. Configure contacts to control who receives alerts and through which channels.

On the Contact tab, you can:

  • Create, edit, and delete contacts individually or in batches

  • Search for contacts by name, phone number, or email

  • Verify mobile numbers for use in notification policies

Navigate to the Contact tab

All contact management operations start from the Contact tab. To access it:

  1. Log on to the EDAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Application Management > Applications.

  3. In the top navigation bar, select a region. In the upper part of the page, select a namespace.

  4. From the Cluster Type drop-down list, select Container Service or Serverless Kubernetes Cluster.

  5. Find and click the application name.

  6. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Management > Contact.

Create a contact

  1. On the Contact tab, click Create Contact in the upper-right corner.

  2. In the Create Contact dialog box, configure the following settings:

    SettingDescription
    Contact nameA name to identify the contact.
    Mobile NumberA mobile phone number for SMS and voice call notifications. Each number can belong to only one contact.
    MailboxAn email address for email notifications. Each address can belong to only one contact.
    DingTalk RobotA DingTalk chatbot webhook URL. For details, see Obtain the webhook URL of a DingTalk chatbot.
    System notificationsWhether to receive system notifications.
  3. Click OK.

Important

At least one of Mobile Number, Mailbox, or DingTalk Robot is required per contact. Mobile numbers must be verified before use in notification policies. See Verify a mobile number.

Verify a mobile number

Mobile numbers must be verified before they can be used in notification policies. You can verify one or more numbers at a time.

  1. On the Contact tab, select the contacts to verify:

    • Single contact: Find the contact and click Not verified next to the mobile number.

    • Multiple contacts: Select the contacts and click Batch Verification.

    EDAS sends a verification message to each selected contact.

  2. Open the URL from the text message in a browser.

  3. Complete the verification on the verification page.

Search for a contact

  1. On the Contact tab, select Name, Cell Phone Number, or Email from the search drop-down list.

  2. Enter the exact value.

  3. Click the 搜索.png search icon.

Edit a contact

  1. Find the contact and click Edit in the Actions column.

  2. In the Edit Contacts dialog box, modify the contact information.

  3. Click OK.

Delete contacts

  • Single contact: Find the contact and click Delete in the Operation column. Click OK to confirm.

  • Multiple contacts: Select the contacts and click Batch Delete. Click OK to confirm.
