Enterprise Distributed Application Service:Create and manage a contact group

Last Updated:Mar 11, 2026

When a dispatch rule in a notification policy triggers, Enterprise Distributed Application Service (EDAS) sends alert notifications to all contacts in the specified contact group. Notification channels include phone calls, text messages, emails, and DingTalk messages.

Important

Only the account that created a contact group can edit or delete it.

Create a contact group

Before you create a contact group, make sure at least one contact exists in EDAS. For more information, see Create a contact.

  1. Log on to the EDAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Application Management > Applications. In the top navigation bar, select a region. In the upper part of the page, select a namespace. Select Container Service or Serverless Kubernetes Cluster from the Cluster Type drop-down list. Find the target application and click its name.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Management > Contact.

  4. On the Notification Objects page, click the Contacts tab, then click Create Contact Group in the upper-right corner.

  5. In the Create Contact Group dialog box, configure the following settings:

    FieldDescription
Group NameA name that identifies the contact group.
Alert ContactsOne or more contacts to include in the group. When a notification policy triggers, all selected contacts are notified.
  6. Click OK.

Manage a contact group

After you create a contact group, you can search, edit, view members, or delete it from the Contacts tab under Alert Management > Contact.

The following table summarizes available operations:

OperationSteps
SearchEnter the group name or a keyword in the search box and click the Search icon.
EditClick the Edit icon next to the target group. In the Edit Contact Group dialog box, update the group name or member list, then click OK.
View membersClick the Expand icon on the left of a group to expand its member list. To remove a contact, find the contact and click Remove in the Actions column. You can only remove contacts created by the current account.
DeleteClick the Delete icon next to the target group. In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
Important

Before you delete a contact group, make sure it is not assigned to any notification policy. If a contact group linked to a notification policy is deleted, alert notifications for that policy may fail to send. To verify, review your notification policies and remove the contact group assignment before deleting the group.
