Scenarios

You can only upgrade the maximum bandwidth of a subscription EIP. Downgrades are not supported.

To downgrade the bandwidth of a subscription EIP, use one of the following methods:

The change takes effect immediately after you complete the payment.

After you submit the order, you must pay the price difference for the remaining duration of the current billing cycle.

Upgrade or downgrade the bandwidth if the current maximum bandwidth of the EIP does not meet your service requirements.

  1. Navigate to the Elastic IP Addresses console. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the EIP is deployed.

  2. Find the EIP that you want to manage. In the Bandwidth column, click Modify Configuration. Set a new bandwidth value, click Buy Now, then complete the payment.

Renewal with specification change

Subscription EIPs support renewal with specification changes: you can change the maximum bandwidth of an EIP when you renew the EIP.

Use cases

If you have unpaid orders for the EIP, you must pay for or cancel the orders before you can renew the EIP with a specification change.

You can change the maximum bandwidth of an EIP when you renew the EIP. The change takes effect in the next subscription period.

After you submit the order, you are charged based on the new bandwidth and subscription period.

If an EIP is about to expire and its current maximum bandwidth cannot meet future service requirements, you can renew the EIP with a specification change.

  1. Navigate to the Elastic IP Addresses console. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the EIP is deployed.

  2. Find the EIP that you want to manage. In the Actions column, choose 更多操作 > Renewal and Bills > Renew/Update Configurations. Set Duration and Bandwidth. Then, click Buy Now and complete the payment.
