    Elastic IP Address:Announcement: Cancellation of the EIP association fee

    Valued Alibaba Cloud customers, thank you for your support and trust in Alibaba Cloud. To improve user experience, the association fee of Elastic IP Address (EIP) is no longer charged beginning 00:00:00 (UTC+8) on May 1, 2025. This adjustment will not affect your business.

    Within a calendar day, the EIP association fee is determined based on the number of times that EIPs are associated by each account in each region:

    • No EIP association fee charged: Number of EIP association times ≤ five times the quota.

    • EIP association fee charged: Number of EIP association times > five times the quota.

      • EIP association operations that exceed five times the quota are charged based on the following unit price: USD 0.149 per operation. The EIP association fee is calculated and bills are generated on a daily basis.

      • If you change the quota, the EIP association fee is still calculated based on the quota before the adjustment on the day. The EIP association fee is calculated based on the new quota starting from the next day.

    Note

    The quota equals the default number of EIPs that your Alibaba Cloud account can own. For information about how to view quotas, see Manage EIP quotas.

    The EIP association fee is no longer charged. After the adjustment, you do not need to pay EIP association fees.
