Usage cap helps you manage website resources according to your configured actions when unexpected high traffic occurs to prevent large post-paid bills. Using this feature may affect service continuity.
Enable usage cap
Usage caps takes effect in 10 to 15 minutes.
In the ESA console, choose Websites, and then click your target website.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Usage Cap.
On the Usage Cap page, click Create Rule, enter the Rule Name, and set the conditions and Statistical Cycle.
Every 5 Minutes: The statistical cycle is five minutes.
Hourly: The statistical cycle is one hour.
Daily: The statistical cycle is a calendar day (from 00:00 to 23:59 of the current day).
Monthly: The statistical cycle is a calendar month (from the first day to the last day of the current month).
Select the action to execute when reaching the cap and click OK.
Disable Website: The website will be disabled. ESA services such as acceleration, protection, and computing will be unavailable, which may impact your online business.
We recommend setting an appropriate traffic cap to ensure your website operation.
Delete DNS Record: The specified subdomain record under your website will be deleted. You can choose this option if you do not want to take your website offline.
WarningOnce deleted, the subdomain record cannot be restored. You need to manually add the record and set it up again.
