This topic describes how to cancel your Alibaba Cloud account if an expired or unexpired domain name exists in the account.
Problem description
When you cancel your Alibaba Cloud account, the system performs a check on the dependencies. After the check is complete, the system displays the Domain found under your account,the account cannot be deleted message.
Solutions

The domain name is expired and in the renewal grace period or redemption period. |
Wait for the domain name to expire and be automatically deleted
If your domain name has not expired or has expired and entered the renewal grace period or redemption period, you must wait for the domain name to be automatically deleted. Then, you can cancel your Alibaba Cloud account. The following figure shows the lifecycle of a domain name.
After a domain name is expired, the registry deletes the domain name. For more information about domain name expiration, see Redeem a domain name.
Cancel the domain name
You can submit a ticket to cancel the domain name. Alibaba Cloud specialists cancel the valid domain name in your Alibaba Cloud account. After the domain name is canceled, you must wait for the redemption period to end and for the domain name to be deleted by the registry. Then, you can cancel your Alibaba Cloud account.
Domain name cancellation only allows your domain name to enter the redemption period as soon as possible.
After the domain name is canceled, the remaining resources cannot be refunded.
If the domain name is filed, the website that uses the domain name becomes inaccessible after the domain name is canceled.
Transfer the domain name
If your domain name has not expired, you can transfer the domain name from your Alibaba Cloud account to another Alibaba Cloud account. After the domain name is transferred, you can cancel your Alibaba Cloud account.
In this example, a domain name is transferred in the Domains console. For more information about how to transfer a domain name to another Alibaba Cloud account, see Transfer a domain name to another Alibaba Cloud account.
Procedure
Use Account A to log on to the Domains console.
Use one of the following methods to go to the ID Transfer tab:
Method 1:
On the Domain Names page, find the domain name that you want to transfer.
Click Manage in the Actions column. On the page that appears, click Transfer between ID.
Method 2:
Transfer multiple regular domain names at a time: In the left-side navigation pane, choose . On the page that appears, click the ID Transfer tab.
Transfer multiple .cn domain names at a time: In the left-side navigation pane, choose . On the page that appears, click the ID Transfer tab.
On the ID Transfer tab, set the parameters that are described in the following table.

Bulk Operation
The method that is used to transfer the domain names. Valid values:
Enter Domain Names: In the Domain Names field, enter the domain names that you want to transfer.
NoteEnter one domain name in each row. You can enter up to 1,000 domain names.
Upload File: If the domain names that you want to transfer are saved in a file on your PC, upload the file.
NoteSupported file formats are XLS and XLSX. Enter one domain name in each row. The maximum file size is 2 MB.
transfer to
The ID of the Alibaba Cloud account to which you want to transfer the domain names. In this example, enter the ID of Account B.
Security Verification
Click Get Verification Code to obtain a verification code.
Email Verification Code
The verification code that the verified email address receives.
Click Submit.
Sell the domain name
If your domain name has not expired, you can sell the domain name. After the domain name is sold, you can cancel your Alibaba Cloud account.
