You can configure alerts for important metrics of a Data Transmission Service (DTS) dedicated cluster. If an alert threshold is exceeded, the system sends an alert to help you locate and handle the issue. This topic describes how to configure alerts for a DTS dedicated cluster.

Prerequisites

A DTS dedicated cluster is created. For more information, see Create a DTS dedicated cluster.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Dedicated Cluster page.
  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which you want to create a DTS dedicated cluster.
  3. On the Cluster Task page, find the DTS dedicated cluster for which you want to configure alerts. Click its ID or click Details in the Actions column.
  4. In the left-side navigation pane, click Cluster Alert Management.
  5. Click Enable Metric.
  6. In the Alert Settings of DTS Dedicated Cluster dialog box, configure the following parameters.
    ParameterDescription
Exceptions Occur in ClusterSpecifies whether to send alerts when exceptions occur. Valid values:
    • Open: sends alerts.
    • Close: does not send alerts.
DU Usage(Cluster Level)The alert threshold for usage of DTS units (DUs) in the cluster. Valid values: 1 to 200. Unit: percentage. Default value: 80. If the usage of DUs in the cluster reaches this threshold, an alert is sent.
Note DTS dedicated clusters support only the node specifications of 15 DUs, which indicates that you can configure up to 15 concurrent DTS instances on a single node. If the overcommitment mode is enabled, you can obtain up to 30 DUs of instance configuration resources. For example, if the overcommit ratio is set to 200%, you can configure up to 30 concurrent DTS instances on a single node.
CPU Utilization(Node Level)The alert threshold for CPU utilization of each node in the cluster. Valid values: 1 to 100. Unit: percentage. Default value: 80. If the CPU utilization of any node in the cluster reaches this threshold, an alert is sent.
Memory Usage(Node Level)The alert threshold for memory usage of each node in the cluster. Valid values: 1 to 100. Unit: percentage. Default value: 80. If the memory usage of any node in the cluster reaches this threshold, an alert is sent.
Disk Usage(Node Level)The alert threshold for disk usage of each node in the cluster. Valid values: 1 to 100. Unit: percentage. Default value: 80. If the disk usage of any node in the cluster reaches this threshold, an alert is sent.
Alert ContactThe mobile number to which alerts are sent by short message.
Note You can also click Add Contact to add up to five mobile numbers to receive alerts.
  7. Click OK.
