WUYING Workspace:Start, stop, restart, or release a cloud computer

After you create cloud computers, you can manage cloud computers in the WUYING Workspace console and control the running status of the cloud computers. For example, you can start, stop, restart, or release the cloud computers.

Start a cloud computer

You can start one or more cloud computers that are in the Stopped state a time.

  1. Log on to the WUYING Workspace (Pro Edition) console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resources & Terminals > Cloud Computers.

  3. In the upper-left corner of the top navigation bar, select a region.

  4. On the Cloud Computers page, choose one of the following methods to start cloud computers:

    • Single operation: Find the desired cloud computer and click Start in the Actions column.

    • Batch operation: Select one or more cloud computers and click Start/Wake Up in the lower part of the page.

      Note

      You can select up to 100 cloud computers at a time.

  5. In the message that appears, click Confirm.

Stop or restart a cloud computer

You can stop or restart one or more cloud computers that are in the Running state.

Warning

Make sure that end users have saved data and files on cloud computers before you stop or restart the cloud computers to prevent data loss.

Billing

  • After you stop a pay-as-you-go cloud computer, you are charged only for the storage resources of the cloud computer.

  • After you stop a subscription cloud computer, you are charged for computing resources and storage resources of the cloud computer. The computing resources include vCPUs, GPUs, and memory. The storage resources include system disks and data disks.

  • If you stop hourly-plan cloud computers, the duration in which the cloud computers are stopped are not counted in hourly plans.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the WUYING Workspace (Pro Edition) console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resources & Terminals > Cloud Computers.

  3. In the upper-left corner of the top navigation bar, select a region.

  4. On the Cloud Computers page, choose one of the following methods to stop or start cloud computers:

    • Single operation: Find the desired cloud computer and click Stop or Restart in the Actions column.

    • Batch operation: Select one or more cloud computers and click Stop or Restart in the lower part of the page.

      Note

      You can select up to 100 cloud computers at a time.

  5. In the message that appears, click Confirm.

Release a cloud computer

If you no longer use a pay-as-you-go cloud computer, you can release it in the WUYING Workspace console.

Warning

After the cloud computer is released, the data of the cloud computer is permanently deleted and cannot be retrieved. Make sure that you have backed up data before you release cloud computers. Proceed with caution.

Usage notes

  • You can release only pay-as-you-go cloud computers. After a subscription cloud computer expires and you do not renew the cloud computer in a grace period, the cloud computer is automatically released.

  • You can release only cloud computers that are in the Running, Stopped, Expired, or Creation Failed state.

Billing

After you release a cloud computer, you are no longer charged for computing and storage resources.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the WUYING Workspace (Pro Edition) console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resources & Terminals > Cloud Computers.

  3. In the upper-left corner of the top navigation bar, select a region.

  4. On the Cloud Computers page, choose one of the following methods to release cloud computers:

    • Single operation: Find the desired cloud computer and click Release in the Actions column.

    • Batch operation: Select one or more cloud computers and click Release in the lower part of the page.

      Note

      You can select up to 100 cloud computers at a time.

  5. In the message that appears, click Confirm.
