Overview
To use the Domain Name System (DNS) traffic analysis feature, you must enable the feature first. This topic describes how to enable the DNS traffic analysis feature.
You are charged only after you enable this feature for a specific domain name. For more information about how to enable the DNS traffic analysis feature for a specific domain name, see Enable or disable the DNS traffic analysis feature for a domain name.
If you have not activated Authoritative DNS Advanced Service but have purchased a paid Alibaba Cloud DNS instance and bound the instance to multiple domain names, you can still use the DNS traffic analysis feature to collect statistics on DNS requests. However, you cannot use other advanced capabilities of the DNS traffic analysis feature, such as analysis of DNS request sources, analysis of matched DNS lines, analysis of DNS response characteristics, and query for DNS response details logs. The DNS traffic analysis feature does not apply to domain names that are bound to free Alibaba Cloud DNS instances.
Procedure
Method 1
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.
On the Authoritative Domain Names tab of the Domain Name Resolution page, click View next to The service is not activated in the DNS Traffic Analysis column.
In the Description of DNS Traffic Analysis Service message, view the billing rules and capabilities of the feature. Then, click Activate Now to go to the buy page.
Click Buy Now. The DNS traffic analysis feature is enabled.
Method 2
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.
On the Domain Name Resolution page, click the DNS Traffic Analysis tab and click Enable traffic analysis in the Analysis of DNS Request Sources section.
In the Description of DNS Traffic Analysis Service message, view the billing rules and capabilities of the feature. Then, click Activate Now to go to the buy page.
Click Buy Now. The DNS traffic analysis feature is enabled.
