[Announcement] Change of the free quota for data tracking and operation audit

On September 13, 2023, the free quota for data tracking and operation audit of Data Management (DMS) will be changed. This change affects the data tracking and operation audit features used on instances that are managed in Flexible Management or Stable Change mode. It changes the time periods within which you can view binary logs of DML operations, download, roll back, and rebuild scripts, and view operation logs. Data tracking

  • Flexible Management mode

    You can access the binary logs of INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE operations performed within the last 1 hour. You can export, roll back, and rebuild the scripts.

  • Stable Change or Security Collaboration mode

    There is no time limit for accessing the binary logs for DML operations. You can batch download scripts.

  • Flexible Management mode

    You can access the binary logs for DML operations performed within the last 30 minutes. You cannot export, roll back, and rebuild the scripts.

  • Stable Change or Security Collaboration mode

    There is no time limit for accessing the binary logs for DML operations. You can batch download scripts.

Operation audit

  • Flexible Management mode

    You can view the operation logs of all users within the DMS tenant for the past week.

  • Stable Change or Security Collaboration mode

    Logs are retained in DMS for three years, during which you can view the logs at any time.

  • Flexible Management mode

    You can view the operation logs of only the current DMS user for the last 24 hours.

  • Stable Change mode

    There is no time limits on the operation logs that you can view, but your can only view the operations performed by the current user.

  • Security Collaboration mode

    Logs are retained in DMS for three years, during which you can view the log data at any time.

Scope of impact

This change affects only the data tracking and operation audit features used on instances that are managed in Flexible Management or Stable Change mode.

If you want to use the data tracking feature without limits, you can change the control mode of your instance to Stable Change or Security Collaboration.
