• Affected scenarios: Logical backup schedules using public network (e.g., backup schedules configured with public IP:Port for self-managed databases in local IDCs or ECS instances).

• Potential impact: If you fail to complete the necessary configurations before the effective date, the outdated logical backup schedules may result in backup failures or abnormal job statuses. To avoid potential business impacts, we strongly recommend that you complete the relevant configurations as soon as possible.

Recommendations

Before the effective date, please identify any affected logical backup schedules and update the IP whitelist for the corresponding source database environment to include the new IP addresses involved in this optimization.

• For self-managed databases on ECS instances, update the security group configurations for the corresponding ECS instance.

• For self-managed databases in on-premises data centers, adjust the firewall configurations on the host or in the data center network to allow the new IP addresses, ensuring the backup schedules run without interruption.
