Renew DBS instances
You can extend the service period of a subscription backup plan instance by using manual renewal or enabling auto-renewal. Pay-as-you-go instances do not expire and do not need to be renewed. For these instances, ensure that your Alibaba Cloud account has a sufficient balance.
Impact of expiration
Subscription instances have an expiration date. If you do not renew them before they expire, your backup tasks are interrupted. For more information, see Expiration and overdue payments.
We recommend enabling auto-renewal when you create an instance or using manual renewal before your instance expires.
Billing
The renewal fee is the same as the fee for purchasing a new instance. The price shown in the console applies. For more information, see Backup fees.
