DataWorks:Add invalid governance issues to a whitelist

Last Updated:Mar 26, 2026

Whitelists let you suppress governance issues that don't require action. Once added to a whitelist, a governance issue is skipped during checks for the duration of the whitelist's effective period. When the whitelist expires, detection resumes.

Use the Whitelist page in Data Asset Governance to view, filter, and manage all whitelists across your workspaces.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that you have:

View and manage whitelists

  1. Log on to the DataWorks console. In the top navigation bar, select the desired region. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Governance > Data Asset Governance, then click Go to Data Asset Governance.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Governance > Whitelist. The Whitelist page appears.

  3. On the Whitelist page, view and manage your whitelists. Section ①: Filter and search Filter whitelists by Workspace, Environment, or Applicant. To search by name, enter a resource name or workspace name in the search field — fuzzy match is supported. Section ②: Whitelist list and actions Each whitelist entry shows its Whitelist ID, Resource Name, Workspace, Resource Type, Optimization Item, and Status. From the Actions column, you can:

    • View details: Click Details to review the whitelist configuration.

    • Disable a whitelist: Click Disable to end the suppression early. After you disable a whitelist, the associated governance issues are detected again in subsequent checks.

    Note
    • Only Alibaba Cloud accounts or Resource Access Management (RAM) users with the AliyunDataWorksfullAccess policy can view whitelists across all workspaces.

    • The Workspace filter shows only workspaces where your account is a member.

    Note

A whitelist stops taking effect when it expires. To continue suppressing the governance issue, go to the Governance Issue tab and configure the whitelist again. See Handle governance issues.
