Starting June 10, 2024, DataWorks is gradually rolling out Serverless resource groups in multiple regions. A Serverless resource group supports operations such as data synchronization, task scheduling, and API service calls and management from a single resource group.

A Serverless resource group consolidates the core capabilities of legacy resource groups, which include exclusive resource groups for scheduling, exclusive resource groups for Data Integration, exclusive resource groups for DataService Studio, and shared resource groups.
Region availability
Serverless resource groups are available in the following regions: China (Beijing), China (Zhangjiakou), China (Ulanqab), China (Shanghai), China (Shenzhen), China (Hangzhou), China (Hong Kong), Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Indonesia (Jakarta), Japan (Tokyo), UK (London), US (Silicon Valley), Germany (Frankfurt), and US (Virginia).
Resource groups you can purchase
After Serverless resource groups become available:

If you have used legacy resource groups — You can continue to purchase and use legacy resource groups, and you can also purchase and use Serverless resource groups.

If you have not activated DataWorks in any region — After you activate DataWorks, you can purchase and use only Serverless resource groups. You cannot purchase or use legacy resource groups.
