To utilize the DM database within DataV-Board (data dashboard), it is necessary to register the DM database instance as a data source. This topic outlines the steps to add a DM database.
Prerequisites
Ensure you have the details of the DM database instance you want to add.
Limits
Supports only Enterprise Edition or higher.
Add data source through intranet
Access the DataV console.
Navigate to the Workbench page and click .
In the Type dropdown, select DM Database.
Choose Intranet and select the region where your DM database instance is located.
Enter the required database configuration details.

Name
Custom data source name.
VPC ID
The ID of the VPC-connected instance. This VPC is where the DM database instance is located.
VPC Instance ID
Optional VPC database instance ID, VPC network connection address, or VPC network IP address.
Port
The port number set by the database.
Username
The username that is used to log on to the database.
Password
The password that is used to log on to the database.
Database
Automatically obtain the database list or manually enter the database name.
Click OK after entering the information. The system will test the connection automatically. A successful test will add the data source to the list.
ImportantShould the error message Access VPC instance fail appear during the test, try appending a -1 suffix to the Instance ID and test the connection again.
Add data source through internet
Access the DataV console.
On the Workbench page, click .
From the Type list, select DM Database.
Choose Internet from the list.
Provide the necessary database configuration details.

ImportantIf you encounter the Access VPC instance fail error during testing, try adding a -1 suffix to the Instance ID and retest the connection.

Utilize the data source by entering the edit page of the desired project, adding widgets, and connecting to the data source.
