This topic describes how to apply for and return data source permissions.
Apply for data source permissions
On the Dataphin home page, single click the Management Center in the top menu bar.
Follow the instructions in the figure below to enter the Apply For Data Source Permissions dialog box.
In the Apply For Data Source Permissions dialog box, configure the parameters.
Parameter
Description
Datasource
Select the data source you want to apply for. To create a new data source, see Data Source Management.
Permission Type
Select the type of permission you want to apply for. The system supports Read-through, Write-through, and Execute.
Read-through: Permission to read data from the source storage through the synchronization component.
Write-through: Permission to write data to the target storage through the synchronization component.
Execute: Permission to execute database SQL tasks only. This permission does not override read-through or write-through permissions.
Account Type
Based on the business scenario, you can apply for data source permissions for User Account, Project Account, or User Group simultaneously, or apply for data source permissions individually.
User Account is an account for personal use in the development environment for standard modeling and code development configuration. If you select User Account, you need to set the permission expiration time.
Project Production Account is an account used for recurring schedule production tasks at the project granularity to avoid strong binding between the production environment and individuals. If you select Project Production Account, you need to select the associated project.
User Group is used to apply for permissions for all members under the user group. If you select User Group, you need to set the user group and permission expiration time.
Reason For Application
Provide a brief reason for the application. Do not exceed 128 characters.
Single click OK to complete the application for data source permissions.
Data source permission details
On the data source permissions page, single click the In Effect and Out Of Effect tabs to view the details of data source permissions in different statuses.
Effective data source permissions
You can view the basic information of the data source and perform renewal and return operations on the Effective tab of the data source.
Area | Description |
①Filter and Search Area | You can search by the keyword of the data source name, or filter by expiration date, permission type, data source type, and permission account. |
②List Area | This area displays the data object, environment, permission account, authorization information, permission type, and expiration date information. You can perform Return and Renewal operations on the data source in the Actions column.

Expired data source permissions
You can view the basic information of the data source and perform application operations on the Expired tab of the data source.
Area | Description |
①Filter and Search Area | You can search by the keyword of the data source name, or filter by the reason for expiration, permission type, data source type, and permission account. |
②List Area | This area displays the data object, environment, permission account, permission type, expiration date, and reason for expiration information. You can perform Apply For Permissions operations on the data table in the Actions column. Apply For Permissions: Apply for the data source permissions. Permission application records
On the Datasource Permission page, single click the Permission Application Records button to view the details of data source applications. For more information, see View My Initiated Tasks.
