The task center consolidates the management of all process-related transactions for the Dataphin product. This topic outlines the procedures for viewing and managing tasks.
Permission description
You can view only those tasks awaiting approval by your current account.
Task center entry
Navigate to the Dataphin page and use the following figure as a guide to access the Task Center.
Handle tasks
The pending task list displays all tasks that require your approval within the current tenant. You have the option to approve tasks individually or select multiple tasks for batch approval, streamlining the process and enhancing efficiency.
Handle a single task
In the task center's Pending tab, select the task you wish to handle and single click the task name to approve it.

Approval Result
Choose the Approval Result for the task at hand. Options for Approval Results include:
Pass: The task is approved, granting the initiator the requested permissions.
Reject: The task is declined. The initiator may reapply or modify the request.
Change Owner: Click the display box area and select a new owner from the dropdown. The new owner will then take over the approval responsibilities.
Add Sign: Click the display box area and choose an additional signer from the dropdown:
Should the additional signer approve, the process will revert to the original approver.
Should the additional signer reject, the process concludes.
NoteThe additional signer is limited to approving or rejecting the task.
If multiple approvers are set, the consent of any one suffices, while the rejection of any one is conclusive.
Should the initiator also be an approver, the task is deemed automatically approved.
Modifications to the custom approval template, such as adding, removing, or renaming actions, will correspondingly alter the operations associated with the approval results. For more information, see add optional actions or .
Approval Description
Provide a description for the approval, ensuring it does not exceed 128 characters.
NotePermission approval for data tables includes the ability to view field sensitivity levels. The data classification ranges from L1 to L4 (public to top secret), with the option for custom classification.
Upon approval of data download requests, you may tap the Download File button to retrieve the data.
Release approval enables you to examine details for various object types. Hover over the object name or click the version number or the
icon to view more information.
If the approval task includes items already approved by others, the current approval will be unsuccessful.
Click Submit to finalize the approval of the individual task.
Batch handle tasks
In the task center's Pending tab, use the figure below as a guide to access the Approval Description dialog box.
Enter your approval description in the Approval Description dialog box, ensuring it is within the 128-character limit.
NoteBatch approvals that include tasks already cleared by other members will result in a failed batch approval.
Selecting all tasks only pertains to those displayed on the current page.
You can adjust the number of tasks shown per page by clicking the task display count
button. Options include 10, 20, 50, or 100 tasks per page.
Click Submit to complete the batch approval process.
View handled tasks
To view tasks you've managed, go to the Completed tab in the task center. You can click on the task name or the icon in the action column to see task details.
View tasks I initiated
In the task center's Initiated By Me tab, you can review tasks you've initiated. Click on the task name or the icon in the action column for more details.
