Change rules are validation rules that use metadata derived from an object's fundamental properties, combined with predefined or custom-coded logic conditions. Objects that fail these rules are managed according to the associated change policy.
Permissions

Only super administrators and system administrators can create change rules.

Super administrators, system administrators, and change policy owners can edit and delete change rules.
Procedure

Navigate to the Dataphin home page and select Management Center > Specification Settings from the top menu bar.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose Change Control > Change Rule.

On the Change Rule page, click +create Change Rule.

On the Create Change Rule page, set the parameters.

Enter the basic information.
Parameter
Description
Rule Name
The rule name. The following constraints apply:

Can contain Chinese characters, uppercase and lowercase English letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-).

Cannot exceed 30 characters.
Rule Description
A description of the change rule, up to 256 characters.
Service Scenario
Default: Publish Control. This value cannot be changed.
Rule Type
Default: Global Rule. This value cannot be changed.
Effective Object
Select the object to which the rule applies based on your business scenario.
Effective Stage
Default: before publishing.
Rule Operation
Optional.
Validation Failure Prompt
The message displayed when validation fails.

Define the rule logic.
Select Expression Configuration or Customized:

Expression Configuration: Add custom rules or use system rules. For guidance on custom rule configuration, click Rule Number Configuration Guide.

Customized: For custom code rules, click Documentation.

Choose the Validation Logic for the rule.

After you complete the configuration, click Submit.
The change rule is activated by default after submission. You can deactivate it if needed.
