This topic explains how to create a Database Gateway in the console.
Procedure
- Log in to the Database Gateway console and click Create Gateway.
- In the dialog box, enter a name and description, and click Next step.
- Install the gateway. Select an installation package for your operating system. For Windows, click Download gateway. For other operating systems, copy the command and run it on the target instance. If the local gateway starts successfully, you are automatically redirected to the Add Database page. You can also click Next step.
For Database Gateway requirements, see Preparations.If the gateway instance connects over an Alibaba Cloud internal network, select Access through Alibaba Cloud VPC internal address (self-managed database on ECS/Express Connect/Cloud Enterprise Network/VPN Gateway).
- Add a database. Click the Add database address icon. You can also add a database later. For more information, see Add a database.
In the Add method section, select Manually add. In the Database address field, enter the host and port number (for example,
172.168.200.152:3306), and click Finish.
